Stapled documents or saddle stitching as it is known in printing industry terms means binding pages together using staples along the spine. This is a straightforward technique for documents up to 48 printed pages, giving you a professional finish with sharp, vibrant colour at a low price. We also square off the spine for an even better finish on books with more than 40 printed pages.
All saddle-stitched books must be created in multiples of 4 pages, counting each page as you would in a normal page numbered book. Thus, a single page folded in half becomes a 4 page “book” and so on.
We have a great range of high-quality papers for you to choose from, including a broad selection of luxury papers. Choose heavier stock for the cover, with a choice of matt or gloss lamination for added strength. Choose a lighter stock for inner text pages (and for more than 28 pages, 130gsm or lighter to stop your document springing open).
